AI Chart Analysis for MetaTrader 4 and 5 Screenshots

MetaTrader users can review chart images without giving an AI tool broker credentials. The useful part is a repeatable screenshot and verification process, especially for pip precision and position sizing.

Quick answer

Save or capture the active MT4 or MT5 chart, keeping the symbol, period, price scale, and recent swings visible. Upload the image to TradeStreamAI's AI Chart Analyzer, then compare any proposed entry, stop, and target with the live MetaTrader quote and your broker's contract settings. The analyzer does not install an Expert Advisor or execute MetaTrader orders.

A practical workflow

  1. Step 1

    Prepare the chart

Select the correct pair and period. Keep the price scale and enough candles for swing context.

  2. Step 2

    Save a local image

Use MetaTrader's Save As Picture option or a device screenshot. Keep the file on your device rather than posting a private chart publicly.

  3. Step 3

    Review the analysis

Check what the image visibly supports and whether BUY, SELL, or WAIT matches your own chart reading.

  4. Step 4

    Verify broker details

Confirm decimal precision, spread, pip value, contract size, and lot step before sizing or placing an order.

Capture the active chart, not account details

MetaTrader's Save As Picture function can save the active chart. Choose a view that shows the instrument, timeframe, price axis, and meaningful recent structure. A screenshot of the entire workspace may include balances, account identifiers, and other details that are unnecessary for chart analysis. Crop those out while keeping the chart context intact.

MT4 and MT5 export options can differ by version and device. If the saved format is unsuitable for your upload flow, use a standard device screenshot of the chart instead. Do not publish the image through a community-sharing option when you only need a local file.

  • Symbol and period visible
  • Price axis readable
  • Recent swing context present
  • Private account details removed

Forex precision can change the risk math

A number that looks close on a chart may represent very different pip distances across currency pairs. Many non-JPY pairs conventionally use the fourth decimal place as one pip; JPY pairs commonly use the second. Some brokers display an additional fractional digit. Metals and CFDs have their own tick and contract conventions.

Before using any AI-suggested level, read it back against the MetaTrader price axis. Then measure the entry-to-stop distance in the correct units and check the broker's pip value or contract specification. An image-based interpretation is not a substitute for broker data.

  • Confirm the exact symbol, including broker suffixes
  • Check whether a displayed final digit is a pipette
  • Use broker specifications for metals and CFDs
  • Round size down to a permitted lot increment

Use the result as a second opinion

The analyzer can describe visible trend, momentum, support, resistance, and a possible invalidation scenario. It cannot see pending orders, account margin, current spread, or news outside the image. A WAIT result can be useful when the chart is compressed, the symbol is unreadable, or the setup has no clear stop.

A practical review ends with a written condition: what price action would confirm the idea, what level would invalidate it, and how much money would be at risk if the stop is reached. Record the plan before the outcome is known.

  • Evidence visible in the image
  • Condition for entry
  • Level that invalidates the idea
  • Risk budget and estimated lot size

No native MT4 or MT5 integration is implied

TradeStreamAI analyzes an uploaded chart image. It does not connect to a MetaTrader account, install an Expert Advisor, import private broker data, or execute orders. The trader verifies the output and remains in control of the platform.

Common questions

Can TradeStreamAI analyze an MT5 screenshot?

Yes, when the chart image is readable. It analyzes what is visible in the uploaded image, not live MT5 account data.

Does it support broker-specific Forex symbols?

A readable symbol label helps identify the chart, but you must verify any broker suffix, pip convention, and contract specification yourself.

Will it place a MetaTrader trade?

No. The chart analyzer is decision-support software and does not send orders.
