Chart analysis examples: inspect the reasoning

A useful assessment connects visible structure, conflicting evidence, invalidation and arithmetic. These original synthetic illustrations explain that workflow before you choose a tool.

1. Rising candles can still lead to WAIT

Synthetic rising price structure beneath a resistance zoneSixteen invented candles rise from left to right. The latest candles approach an opposing horizontal zone. The drawing illustrates why local momentum alone does not confirm a breakout.OpposingzoneSynthetic editorial diagram · no instrument, historical trades or AI test results

The drawing shows local higher highs and higher lows approaching an opposing zone. An analysis can correctly describe bullish local momentum while declining to treat an unclosed breakout attempt as confirmation.

Observation
Local structure is rising; the next barrier is close.
Missing evidence
A completed break or retest of the opposing zone.
Condition to revisit
A new capture after a meaningful close, retest or failure.

A five-minute view may be rising inside an hourly range. Compare the images using multi-timeframe analysis rather than assuming that the small chart proves a larger breakout.

2. Verify the numbers independently

Suppose an illustrative long plan uses entry 100, invalidation/stop 98 and target 106. Risk per unit is 2 and reward per unit is 6: a 1:3 price ratio before costs. A separately chosen $100 risk budget corresponds to 50 units before fees and other constraints.

The attractive arithmetic does not remove the opposing barrier in the first example. Check structure and execution assumptions as well as the ratio. Try the editable risk/reward calculator or an instrument-specific sizing tool.

3. An unreadable image is a reason to stop

A crop that removes the symbol, timeframe or decimal scale cannot reliably support exact levels. Do not turn an ambiguous scale into precise entry and stop prices. Capture a wider, readable view and check every number against the platform.

Use the screenshot checklist. For changing charts, understand the boundary between a visible live-chart capture and continuous monitoring.
